Our house is located directly by the forest, where you can experience beautiful walks undisturbed by the tourist hustle and bustle. And we will also tell you the quieter spots on the North Sea.
Your children are particularly welcome, who feel at home with us and will be able to let off some steam. Around the holiday home Zur Schmiede there is plenty of space to sunbathe, barbecue on the terrace with a grill fireplace and play for the children. And then there is our lovely pet pony Flicka, who your children will love and vice versa!
The cozy two holiday apartments and the apartment in the holiday home Zur Schmiede are about 25 square meters to 63 square meters in size and perfectly suited for a vacation with 1 to 2 persons as well as with 1 to 5 persons plus infant.
Dunum is centrally located with excellent transport links to all excursion destinations in East Frisia. It is not far to the coast and thus to the tourist and spa facilities in the North Sea spas Esens-Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel. However, you do not have to pay a tourist tax with us. Only if the spa card is worth it for you, we also offer this option.
Dunum is a small farming village and is located away from the main roads. Nevertheless, you can reach the coast by car in about ten minutes. The districts and farms in Dunum are spread out over a large area. We offer you an unforgettable vacation with bossel games, barbecue evenings, folk theater, carriage rides and joint cycling and hiking tours.
According to the old legend, the grave of the Frisian king Radbod lies under Dunum's Radbodsberg. He managed as the only chieftain to unite all Frisian peoples and to achieve a historic victory against the Norsemen. Our old brick church from the 13th century is also a special attraction.
Around Dunum you will find the original East Frisian hedge landscape, extensive wetlands with a beautiful and interesting flora and fauna as well as a large forest with a rich wildlife population.

A special treat is also the Nannen Museum in Emden.
