The "House at the Castle" is located near the center of the old village of Werdum. We have settled in here in Werdum, directly at the old chieftain's castle.
Since the spa town of Werdum is not very large, the atmosphere here is quite quiet and leisurely - simply relaxing. However, there are also many events and offers for your vacation. You are somehow simply in the middle of rural life...
You are vacationing directly near the old Werdum Castle and very close to other attractions, such as the old church village and the village square with the Werdum country brewery, the East Frisian Werdum Mill, the "House of the Guest" with the Kneipp hall, the pet park that is especially popular with children, and other attractions of the village.
We have prepared six holiday apartments with love and anticipation for you. All holiday apartments are fresh, modern, cozy, and very tastefully decorated for your best days of the year. Two of the holiday apartments are located in our guest house and are wheelchair accessible and suitable for allergy sufferers.
Two, two to three, or two to four people fit best in the holiday apartments. The guest house can also be divided into two complete halves if needed. Then up to six people can fit in each half of the house. It is also possible to rent the entire guest house for up to 12 people. Please ask us on the phone for the exact conditions.
At the "House at the Castle" we offer you a beautiful piece of authentic East Frisian charm on vacation, including all the comfort thanks to the original and tradition-conscious farming village of Werdum. We cordially invite you to finally disconnect here in the village!
The state-recognized spa town of Werdum is located 4 km by air from the dike and the North Sea as a green oasis amidst East Frisian expanse. Werdum is a small and cozy village that invites its guests to all seasons, primarily with peace and relaxation, away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the seaside resorts.
There is everything you need: a lot of events (more than 100 in summer alone), "House of the Guest", spa facilities, the "Rasender Kalle" miniature train, guest bocce and bike tours with barbecues, covered wagon rides, horseback riding for the disabled, gastronomy, coastal brewery, and much more.
The pet park is especially popular, where children can get up close to many rare domestic animal species and are even allowed to pet them.
Werdum is an old grown Warf village, whose history dates back to around the year 1300, and it has historical and landscape-typical architecture such as the chieftain's castle, the Dutch windmill from 1748, the St. Nicolai Church, or a forge from old times.
