You are located directly on the Schlafdeich, also called the summer dike, in the Riech-Weite of the North Sea. The straight-line distance to the North Sea is approximately 300 meters, you live, ride, and experience the East Frisian marsh by day and night in absolutely fresh and healthy North Sea air.
On the equestrian farm Gründeich, there are nine vacation apartments available for your riding holiday. The vacation apartments are approximately between 30 and 80 square meters and offer plenty of space for up to 6 people plus a toddler.

From the equestrian farm Gründeich, you can also start beautiful bicycle tours or hikes into the interior through the wide meadows and fields of the marsh or along the dike, always in fresh and very healthy air.
The North Sea spa Bensersiel, at the western edge of which the village of Gründeich begins, has a lot to offer for sports, recreation, and play.
You can easily reach all the attractions that Bensersiel has to offer by bicycle or on foot. So you take a walk of just over 1,500 meters to the beach in Bensersiel. There is the beach itself with an adventure playground and the beach portal. An adventure land for your children is located in the building complex of the beach portal. It is a beach play facility for children under a roof.
At the beach, you will also find an adventure playground, the maritime sports theme park, and many other events.
The Nordseetherme Bensersiel bathing complex, a modern heated fun and leisure pool, is located a short walk through the spa park on the other side of the harbor. There is a wonderful bathing complex with a giant slide for the whole family, a therapy center (e.g. with all spa facilities), and a modern sauna, wellness, and fitness center.
For your shopping, morning rolls, or a nice meal or a delicious coffee or tea, a large selection of shops, restaurants, cafés, and cozy maritime pubs is available in the town center of Bensersiel. For example, there is a supermarket, a bakery, and several quaint shops as well as several catering establishments within walking distance in and at the covered shopping and restaurant row Deichpassage in the holiday center Nordseegartenpark.
For your holiday or cure, you are ideally supplied with us. Very close to Bensersiel is Esens, the good parlor of the Harlingerland. You can reach Esens by car in about five minutes. Even better, take a bicycle and ride around through the marshland over the Hammerweg or along the idyllic Kajedeich at the Benser Tief (What is a Tief? The great Bensersiel offer is complemented in Esens by the over 475-year-old knight city with a historically grown town center. Here there are a lot of small and large events, museums, and other gastronomy and shopping opportunities. Your children are best off visiting the indoor play park Klabautermann and having a lot of fun there. The Klabautermann is a large hall full of ideas for playing and romping.
Dornumersiel in the west of our village Gründeich is a North Sea spa and has a large sandy beach. This seaport is one of the oldest harbors on the East Frisian coast. We invite you to an idyllic walk at the Mahlbusen. There is also a bathing beach and a heated North Sea water outdoor pool in Dornumersiel and all the facilities for your spa stay.
In the thatched house by the sea, the tourist information for Dornumersiel, the Doroness-Club with great events for children, as well as a fitness and health program for adults and much more are located. For a cure and relaxation with a wellness or thalassotherapy application, we recommend the therapy and wellness center in Dornumersiel. In Neßmersiel, the WellnessOase also offers a sauna area with several saunas, steam baths, and a pool. Shopping opportunities are also available in Dornumersiel and Dornum, 5 kilometers away.
