Location

Our house is located on the northwestern edge of the city center of the old town of Esens. In one direction, you can reach the city center with all the amenities you can expect in a few minutes by bicycle.

We would be happy to tell you all the interesting destinations in our over 475-year-old, cozy, and charming bear town of Esens with its historically grown city center and of course the highlights of the North Sea spa Bensersiel. For example, we also have a lot of small and large events and museums. Or you can simply have a real break here.

In the other direction, you leave Esens and drive, for example, by bicycle through the idyllic marsh and perhaps also along the Benser Tief to Bensersiel. A beautiful hiking and cycling path, part of the East Frisia hiking trail, runs in the immediate vicinity of our property. So you just have to jump up. This way you reach the beach comfortably and relaxed. Or you start your bike tour or hike here.

Of course, you can also reach the sea and Bensersiel in a few minutes by car (and above all completely away from normal traffic), but by bike you reach the sea and Bensersiel in about 3 to 5 kilometers in complete relaxed peace, have already sniffed a lot of healthy salt air and can enjoy the beach and the many touristic spa and holiday facilities in a special way.

Our location is ideal for extended walks, bike tours, and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way you experience your vacation at the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the North Sea's invigorating climate.

By car, you can reach Bensersiel or the North Sea spa Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both seaside resorts or North Sea spas by bus.

The North Sea spa Esens-Bensersiel has a lot to offer for relaxation, sports, and games, for example beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, the North Sea spa Bensersiel, tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.

Let the sun shine on your belly or explore the beautiful surroundings and the expanse of East Frisia by bicycle. Visit the Nordseetherme Bensersiel bathing landscape, a modern heated fun and leisure pool. All spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness center are also located there. Or you drive to the beach with the new beach portal with Bennis Adventure Land, a beach facility for children under a roof. Walk along the dike or in the Wadden Sea.

Take day trips to the East Frisian islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural highlights. Or you drive with your children to Werdum to the petting zoo with many small animals from all over the world. Or you drive to Neuharlingersiel. There, in addition to other attractions of this North Sea spa, the historic fishing port with an active crab fishing fleet and Platschi, the great water play facility right on the beach, are waiting for you.
