Relaxing holiday in East Frisia at "Haus Hasenweide" near Bensersiel on the North Sea!
Our "Haus Hasenweide" with two vacation apartments renovated in early summer 2022 is located in the middle of a nature conservation area in the village of Amkenhausen on the edge of the village of Stedesdorf. Stedesdorf, in turn, is in close proximity to the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel on the East Frisian North Sea coast, directly at the unique natural spectacle "Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park", since 2009 a "UNESCO World Heritage Site".

You can stay in our well-equipped and comfortably and friendly designed and furnished approximately 70 and 50 square meter vacation apartments. The vacation apartments offer enough space for rest and relaxation for 2 to 4 or 2 to 3 people plus a toddler.

Stedesdorf is a small idyllic farming village, whose hamlets and farms are widely scattered - one of these hamlets is our village of Amkenhausen. From here, you can reach the approximately 9 kilometers away coast in about ten minutes by car.

Massage and spa treatments are possible in the neighboring town of Esens.

From Amkenhausen, due to the excellent transport connections, you can easily reach all the many destinations and sights that East Frisia has to offer. A bike tour on the East Frisian hiking trail is the healthiest way to the coast and the dike, passing by an interesting flora and fauna.

For the children, there is the indoor play park "Klabautermann" in the old knight and bear town of Esens, and for the adults, there is a rich offer of shopping and leisure opportunities.

The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel, also nearby, has a lot to offer for sports, recreation and play, for example in Bensersiel the "Nordseetherme Bensersiel" with a sauna landscape, wellness offers and many other leisure attractions, the wave pool, tennis courts and maritime sports theme park, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities and of course the very child-friendly beach and much more. Your children or you all should also visit the indoor play park "Klabautermann" in Esens and have lots of fun there for sure. The "Klabautermann" is a large hall full of ideas for playing and romping.

The North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel is also very close by. Neuharlingersiel is a 300-year-old fishing village with an active crab cutter fleet. The East Frisian fishing industry is still actively lived in the beautiful historic fishing harbor today by 14 crab cutters. For your holiday there is a rich tourist offer:

Take a boat trip to the East Frisian islands or take a look around in beautiful old chieftain's seats like Dornum, Greetsiel or Lütetsburg with the associated castles and palaces.

Other worthwhile destinations are the many mills, museums, exhibitions and other cultural highlights or the diverse fauna of the geologically unique combination of marsh, geest and moor in East Frisia. In any case, do not forget the "Eternal Sea", a nature reserve very close to us with a moor lake and a unique animal and plant world.

You should also "stray" into the friendly and cozy towns of East Frisia, for example, Aurich or Jever is not far. A special and rich art treat is the Nannen Museum of the "Stern" founder Henri Nannen in Emden.
