Our holiday farm with two holiday apartments is located in a very quiet location in the middle of free marshland on the edge of the seaside spa town of Esens-Bensersiel in the "Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park". Here you will find an oasis of peace and relaxation for your particularly beautiful holiday!
The fully operated farm is located very close to the Benser Tief, which flows peacefully by (What is a "Tief"? Want to know more? Click here on this sentence!). Along the farm, a paved field road, a very popular bike path, leads to Bensersiel, where you can arrive by bike or on a nice walk. The walk takes about a quarter of an hour.
The seaside spa town of Bensersiel itself is located directly on the unique natural spectacle of the "Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park", a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.
The friendly, comfortable, fully equipped, and approximately 50 square meters in size holiday apartments are excellently suitable for up to 4 people.
On our fully operated farm, there are always about 80 dairy cows and 30 to 40 bulls. If you wish, you and your children can experience the everyday life on the farm.
For example, there is a beautiful, very large garden at the house, in which you will quietly enjoy the magnificent view of the meadows and fields - of the vastness of East Frisia - on a large sheltered terrace. There is also a sunbathing lawn, a small playground, and a barbecue area in the garden; your children are really welcome here! We have a dog - his name is Tommy - and we have many cats and two rabbits for petting, as well as some goats, which are always lots of fun to watch!
So, our beautiful marsh farm is located "in the middle of nowhere" between the old knight's town of Esens and the seaside spa town of Bensersiel. On the other hand, it is really only a short way and you are already in the seaside spa town of Bensersiel with the beach and all other tourist attractions offered there.
In one direction, you walk or cycle through the idyllic marsh to Bensersiel. This way you reach the beach comfortably and relaxed. Or you start your bike tour or hike here into the East Frisian inland or over Bensersiel and then along the dike to Ostbense and to the seaside spa town of Neuharlingersiel.
Of course, you can also reach Bensersiel by car in a few minutes, and especially completely away from normal traffic, but you reach the sea and Bensersiel by bike in about 2 kilometers in complete peace, have already sniffed a lot of healthy salt air, and can particularly enjoy the beach and the many tourist spa and holiday facilities.
The seaside spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has a lot to offer for relaxation, sports, and games, for example beaches with playgrounds and deck chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.
Let the sun shine on your belly or explore the beautiful surroundings and the vastness of East Frisia by bike. Visit the bath landscape North Sea Therme "Sonneninsel", a modern heated fun and leisure pool in Bensersiel. All spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness center are also located there. Or you go to the beach with the new beach portal with "Bennis Abenteuerland" - a beach facility for children under a roof - as well as with the maritime sports theme park with a circus tent and with the seawater outdoor pool with a giant water slide. Hike on the dike or in the Wadden Sea.
In the other direction, you reach the city center of Esens with all the amenities that await you there in about 10 minutes by bike.
We would be happy to tell you all the interesting destinations in our over 475-year-old, cozy, and charming bear town of Esens with its historically grown town center and of course the "highlights" of the seaside spa town of Bensersiel. For example, there are also a lot of small and large events and museums. Or you simply have some peace and quiet at our place in and around the house.
Our location is excellent for extended walks, bike tours, and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way, you experience your holiday by the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the North Sea's Reizklima.
Take day trips to the East Frisian islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural highlights. Or go with your children to Werdum to the petting zoo with many small animals from all over the world. Or go to Neuharlingersiel. There, in addition to other attractions of this North Sea spa town, the historical fishing port with an active crab fishing fleet and "Platschi", the great water play facility in the middle of the beach, await you.
