From the holiday apartment "Nordseebutze" it is only a short walk to the pedestrian zone, the "Steinstraße", and to the market square of the bear town Esens. There you will find nice shops for a leisurely shopping stroll and for browsing and marveling. There is a varied gastronomy with cafes and restaurants, inside and outside.
We would be happy to tell you all the amenities of our over 475 years old, cozy and charming town Esens with its historically grown town center and of course the "highlights" of the North Sea spa town Bensersiel. For example, we also have a lot of small and large events and museums. Or you can simply have your peace and quiet on our balcony.
For example, ride north by bicycle through the idyllic East Frisian marsh and optionally along the "Benser Tief" to Bensersiel. This way you reach the beach comfortably and relaxed.
Of course, this is also possible in a few minutes by car, but by bike you reach the sea and Bensersiel after about 4 to 6 kilometers in complete peace and quiet, depending on your choice of bike route, have already sniffed plenty of healthy salt air and can enjoy the beach and the many touristic spa and holiday facilities in a very special way.
Our location is perfectly suited for extended walks, bike tours and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way you experience your holiday at the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the charm of the North Sea.
By car you can reach Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both sea towns or North Sea spas by bus.
The North Sea spa town Esens-Bensersiel has a lot to offer for recreation, sports and games, for example beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities and much more.

Visit the bathing landscape "Nordseetherme Bensersiel" in Bensersiel, a modern heated fun and leisure pool. Or you go to the beach with the new beach portal with "Bennis Abenteuerland" - a beach facility for children under a roof - as well as with the maritime sports theme park and with the seawater outdoor pool with giant water slide. Take day trips to the East Frisian islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions and other cultural highlights. Or go with your children to Werdum to the pet park with many small animals from all over the world. Or go to Neuharlingersiel. There, in addition to other attractions of this North Sea spa town, the historic fishing port with an active crab fishing fleet and "Platschi", the great water play facility right on the beach, await you.
