It is only a short walk from the holiday apartment "Auszeit" to the market square and the pedestrian zone, the "Steinstraße", of our beautiful bear town Esens. There you will find many shops for a leisurely shopping stroll and for browsing and marveling. There is a varied gastronomy with cafes and restaurants, indoors and outdoors.
We would be happy to tell you all the amenities of our over 475 years old, cozy and beautiful town with a historically grown town center and of course the "highlights" of the North Sea spa Bensersiel. For example, we also have a lot of small and large events and museums. Or you can simply enjoy your peace in your beautiful holiday apartment.
For example, ride north by bicycle across the idyllic East Frisian marsh and optionally along the "Benser Tief" to the North Sea spa Bensersiel. This way you will reach the beach comfortably and relaxed.
Of course, this can also be done by car in a few minutes, but by bike you reach the sea and Bensersiel after 4 to 6 kilometers in completely relaxed peace, depending on your choice of bike route, have already sniffed a lot of healthy salt air and can enjoy the beach and the many touristic spa and vacation facilities in a very special way.
Our location is ideal for long walks, bike tours and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way you can experience your vacation on the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the beneficial climate of the North Sea.
You can reach Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel by car in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both sea resorts or North Sea spas by bus. Esens-Bensersiel has a lot to offer for relaxation, sport and play, for example beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities and much more.
Let the sun shine on your belly or explore the beautiful surroundings and the vastness of East Frisia by bicycle. Visit the bathing landscape "North Sea Thermal Bath Bensersiel" in the North Sea spa Bensersiel, a modern heated fun and leisure pool. All spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna and fitness center are also located there. Or you drive to the beach with the beach portal and with "Bennis Adventure Land" - a beach facility for children under a roof in the beach portal - as well as with the maritime sports theme park and with the seawater outdoor pool with a giant water slide.
Walk on the dike or in the unique natural spectacle "National Park Lower Saxon Wadden Sea" - a guided mudflat walk is a real highlight, you should not miss it!
Take day trips to the East Frisian islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions and other cultural highlights. Or go with your children to Werdum to the petting zoo with many small animals from all regions of the earth. Or go to Neuharlingersiel. There, in addition to other attractions of this North Sea spa, the historic fishing port with an active crab cutter fleet and "Platschi", the great water play area right on the beach, await you.
