The vacation apartment "Wattgeflüster" is located on the western edge of the old knight's town Esens in the North Sea spa Esens-Bensersiel. In one direction you can reach the city center with all the amenities that await you in less than five minutes by bicycle - on foot it takes about ten minutes.
We are happy to tell you about all the interesting destinations in our over 475-year-old, cozy and charming bear town Esens with its historically grown town center and of course the "highlights" of the North Sea spa Bensersiel. For example, we also have a lot of small and large events and museums. Or you can just relax at our house.
In the other direction you leave Esens and cycle, for example, across the idyllic marsh and perhaps also along the "Benser Tief" to Bensersiel (What is a "Tief?" Want to know more? Click here on this sentence!). A beautiful hiking and cycling path - part of the East Frisia hiking trail - leads in the immediate vicinity of our property. So you just have to "jump up". So you reach the beach comfortably and relaxed. Or you start your bike tour or your hike here.
Of course, you can also reach the sea and Bensersiel in a few minutes by car (and above all completely away from normal traffic), but by bike you reach the sea and Bensersiel after about 3 to 6 kilometers in complete relaxed peace, have already sniffed a lot of healthy sea air and can enjoy the beach and the many tourist spa and vacation facilities especially.
Our location is perfect for long walks, bike tours and exploratory trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way you experience your holiday at the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the North Sea's climate.
By car you can reach Bensersiel or the North Sea spa Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 10 minutes. You can also easily reach both sea resorts or North Sea spas by bus.
The North Sea spa Esens-Bensersiel has a lot to offer for recreation, sports and games, for example beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities and much more.
Let the sun shine on your belly or explore the beautiful surroundings and the vastness of East Frisia by bike. Visit the Nordseetherme "Sonneninsel" bath landscape in Bensersiel, a modern heated fun and leisure pool. All spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna and fitness center are also located there. Or you go to the beach with the new beach portal with "Bennis Adventure Land" - a beach facility for children under a roof - as well as with the maritime sports theme park with circus tent and the seawater outdoor pool with giant water slide. Hike along the dike or in the Wadden Sea.
Take day trips to the East Frisian islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions and other cultural highlights. Or you go with your children to Werdum to the petting zoo with many small animals from all over the world. Or you go to Neuharlingersiel. There, in addition to other attractions of this North Sea spa, the historic fishing port with an active crab cutter fleet and "Platschi", the great water play area right on the beach, are waiting for you.
