Dunum is a small village and is located away from the main roads. Nevertheless, you can reach the coast by car in about ten minutes. The districts and farms are spread over a large area in Dunum. Dunum is centrally located with excellent transport links to all excursion destinations in East Frisia. According to the old legend, the "Radbodsberg" in Dunum is the grave of the Frisian king Radbod. He managed to unite all Frisian peoples and to win a historic victory against the Norsemen as the only chieftain. Our old brick church from the 13th century is also a special attraction.

The North Sea resort Neuharlingersiel is also very nearby. Neuharlingersiel is a 300-year-old fishing village with an active crab cutter fleet.
