The beach facilities are just a stone's throw away. All other attractions that Bensersiel has to offer are within a short walk.

The Nordseetherme Bensersiel, a modern heated fun and leisure pool, can be reached in about five minutes on foot. There is a wonderful indoor swimming area with a giant slide for the whole family, a therapy center (e.g. with all spa facilities), as well as a modern sauna, wellness, and fitness center.

Next, the spa park is not far away, from which you can walk past the harbor to the beach facilities.

For your shopping, morning rolls, or a nice meal or delicious coffee or tea, Bensersiel offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafes, and cozy maritime pubs in the nearby town center of Bensersiel. For example, there is a consumer market, a bakery, and several quaint shops as well as several catering establishments within walking distance in the covered shopping and restaurant row Deichpassage in the holiday center Nordseegartenpark.

Very close to Bensersiel lies Esens, the best parlor of the Harlingerland. You can reach Esens by car in just under five minutes. Even better, take a bike and ride through the marshland via the Hammerweg or along the idyllic Kajedeich at the Benser Tief. Beautiful tours await you.

The wonderful Bensersiel offer is complemented in Esens by the over 475-year-old knight's town with a historically grown town center. There are many small and large events, museums, and other dining and shopping opportunities. Your children should visit the indoor play park Klabautermann and have a lot of fun there. The Klabautermann is a large hall full of ideas for playing and romping.

In general, our area is excellently suited for long walks, bike tours, and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way, you experience your holiday at the North Sea actively and relaxed, and you profit optimally from the North Sea's stimulating climate. Also, much is offered for your health: health-promoting courses, fitness, and gymnastics courses at the Nordseetherme fitness center; or take a beauty day, and let yourself be pampered. Favorable shopping opportunities, many events, and great dining offers in the area will round off your program. With your children, you should also visit the petting zoo in Werdum. This special little zoo is particularly popular with young visitors. You can also feed or stroke and learn playfully about the multifaceted world of domestic and farm animals from all continents.

Esens and Bensersiel have a lot to offer for recreation, sports, and play, for example, beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, the aforementioned swimming pools, but also tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, a kite meadow for flying kites there, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, mudflat hiking tours, and much more.

Let the sun shine on your belly or explore the beautiful surroundings and the vastness of East Frisia by bike. Take day trips to the East Frisian islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions, and other cultural highlights.
