Osteraccum is a small farming village and is located away from the main roads. Nevertheless, you can reach the coast in about ten minutes by car.
Osteraccum is generally conveniently located with excellent transport links to all excursion destinations in "East Frisia". It is not far to the North Sea coast and thus to the tourist and spa facilities in the North Sea resorts of Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel. However, you do not have to pay a tourist tax with us. However, if the spa card (called "North Sea Service Card") is worthwhile for you, we also offer this option. We are happy to advise you.
By bicycle, the healthiest connection to the North Sea in the coastal resorts or to the dike is available to you, so to speak, cross-country. Our location is excellently suited for walks, bike tours and discovery trips of all kinds into the unique and diverse nature of East Frisia. Experience your vacation at the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the North Sea's health climate.
The North Sea resort of Esens-Bensersiel in the immediate vicinity has a lot to offer for sports, recreation and play, for example Langeoog harbor, beach, beach portal with covered play beach "Bennis Adventure Land", swimming pools, tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities and much more. Speaking of swimming pools: do not miss a visit to the seawater wave pool with a giant slide and the bathing area "North Sea Therme" "Sonneninsel", a modern heated fun and adventure pool and with a large indoor slide and a modern wellness, sauna and fitness center!
For the children there is the indoor play park "Klabautermann" in the old town of Esens, for the adults there is a rich offer of shopping and leisure opportunities. In our whole area there is also an extensive gastronomy offer. It's worth it!
Also very close by is the North Sea resort of Neuharlingersiel. Neuharlingersiel is a 300-year-old fishing village with an active crab fishing fleet. Other worthwhile destinations are the many mills, museums, exhibitions and other cultural highlights or the diverse fauna of the geologically unique combination of marsh, geest and moor in East Frisia. By the way, do not forget the "Ewige Meer" a nature reserve right in our vicinity with a peat lake and a unique animal and plant life.
And don't forget to visit the very popular "Pet Park" in Werdum with your children!
You should also "stray" into the friendly and cozy towns of East Frisia, for example it is not far to Aurich or Jever. A special and rich art treat is the Nannen Museum of the Foundation of the "Stern" founder Henri Nannen in Emden.
Cheap shopping opportunities, many events, great gastronomic offers and other attractions of the area (for example the Pet Park in Werdum for the children or the moor nature reserve "Ewiges Meer") will round off your program.
