Our house with the holiday apartment "Weitblick" is located on the outer southwestern edge of the old knight's town Esens in the North Sea spa town Esens-Bensersiel. This way you can reach the city center with all the amenities that await you in less than 10 minutes by bike.
We would be happy to tell you all the interesting destinations in our more than 475 years old, cozy and charming Bear Town Esens with its historically grown town center and of course the "highlights" of the North Sea spa town Bensersiel. We also have a lot of small and large events and museums. Or you can simply relax in and around our house. For example, you can cycle to Bensersiel across the idyllic marsh along the "Benser Tief". This way you reach the beach comfortably and relaxed. Or you can start your bike tour or hike here to the East Frisian inland or over Bensersiel and then along the dike to Ostbense and to the North Sea spa town Neuharlingersiel.
Of course, you can also reach Bensersiel and Esens by car in a few minutes (and above all away from normal traffic), but by bike you reach the North Sea after about 5 kilometers in completely relaxed tranquility, you have already sniffed a lot of healthy salt air and can enjoy the beach and the many touristic spa and vacation facilities in a very special way.
Our location is excellent for long walks, bike tours and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way you experience your vacation at the North Sea actively and relaxed and profit optimally from the charm of the North Sea.
By car you can reach Bensersiel in just under 5 minutes or the North Sea spa town Neuharlingersiel in about 10 minutes.
The North Sea spa town Esens-Bensersiel has a lot to offer for recreation, sports and games, for example beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, swimming pools, tennis courts, surfing sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities and much more.
Let the sun shine on your belly here in Holtgast or explore the beautiful surroundings and the vastness of East Frisia by bike. Visit the bath landscape "Nordseetherme Bensersiel" in Bensersiel, a modern heated fun and leisure pool. The therapy center (e.g. with all spa facilities) as well as a modern wellness, sauna and fitness center are also located there. Or you go to the beach with the new beach portal with "Bennis Abenteuerland" - a beach facility for children under a roof - as well as with the maritime sports theme park with the seawater outdoor pool with giant water slide. Walk along the dike or in the Wadden Sea.
Take day trips to the East Frisian islands and visit numerous old mills, museums, exhibitions and other cultural highlights. Or you drive with your children to Werdum to the petting zoo with many small animals from all over the world. Or you drive to Neuharlingersiel. There, in addition to other attractions of this North Sea spa town, the historic fishing port with an active crab cutter fleet and "Platschi", the great water play facility right on the beach, awaits you.
