The farm "Polderhof" is an active original East Frisian farm. Our family runs the farm in the polder between the sleeping dike and the outer dike in the immediate vicinity of the North Sea spa Bensersiel. (Polder = newly reclaimed fertile land in front of the dike, which was later re-embanked). Bensersiel and our farm are located directly on the unique natural spectacle "National Park Lower Saxony Wadden Sea", since 2009 "UNESCO World Heritage Site". From the farm to the dike it is only 15 meters!
Here on the farm "Polderhof" in Bensersiel we offer you, in addition to the very idyllic location between the dikes in the middle of the wide flat meadowland, five lovingly furnished and comfortable holiday apartments. And then there are quite a lot of animals, for example our 50 dairy cows as well as many other nice opportunities to rest or romp around, depending on how old you are and what you like to do on the long vacation day.
Our guaranteed family and child-friendly apartments offer plenty of space for 2 to 4 people each. The three ground floor apartments have their own south-facing sun terraces from which you can see the beautiful protected garden and the sunbathing and playing meadow. Guests of the two upper floor apartments can of course also relax in the garden. All holiday apartments are equipped with everything you need on vacation!
Do you manage to persuade your children to leave our farm at all? Then from the farm "Polderhof" you can conveniently reach all the attractions that Bensersiel has to offer in just a few minutes: the beach, the harbor or the bathing area North Sea Therme "Sonneninsel", a modern heated fun and leisure pool. All spa facilities as well as a modern wellness, sauna and fitness center are also located there. The harbor and the tourist beach facilities are also very close by.
There is the beach itself with an adventure playground and children's playhouse "Kunterbunt" and the new beach portal with "Bennis Adventureland" a beach facility for children under a roof as well as with Internet access for surfing on colder winter days. You will also find here around the beach the seawater outdoor pool, the maritime sports theme park, the circus tent for the children and for many events as well as many more ideas for your holiday in Bensersiel.
From the farm "Polderhof" you start beautiful bike tours along the dike or inland through the marsh over directly adjacent meadows and fields.
For your shopping, morning rolls or a nice meal or a delicious coffee or tea there is a large selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and cozy maritime pubs in the town center of Bensersiel. For example, there is a consumer market, a bakery as well as several charming shops as well as several catering establishments within walking distance in and at the covered shopping and restaurant row "Deichpassage" in the holiday center "Nordseegartenpark".
For your holiday or your cure you are ideally provided for with us. Very close to Bensersiel lies Esens, the "good living room" of the Harlingerland. You can reach Esens by car in about five minutes. Even better, take a bike and cycle "around the back" through the marshland via the "Hammerweg" or the idyllic "Kajedeich" along the "Benser Tief".

The great Bensersiel offer is complemented in Esens by the over 475-year-old knight's city with a historically grown town center. Here there are a lot of small and large events, museums and other gastronomy and shopping opportunities. Your children should visit the indoor play park "Klabautermann" and have a lot of fun there. The "Klabautermann" is a large hall full of ideas for playing and romping.
Our area is generally ideal for extensive walks, bike tours and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. This way you experience your holiday on the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the attractive climate of the North Sea.
There is also a lot on offer for your health: health-promoting courses, fitness and gymnastics courses in the Vital-Aktiv-Center; or take a beauty day and let yourself be pampered.
Cheap shopping opportunities, many events and great gastronomic offers in the area will round off your program.
With your children you should also visit the "Pet Park" in Werdum. This special little zoo is very popular with the little visitors. You can also feed or stroke and get to know the multifaceted world of domestic and farm animals from all continents in a playful way.
