Vacation at Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel in East Frisia on the "Wiesenhof Nordsee"
The "Wiesenhof Nordsee" is located in the small village of Hartward, at the gates of the North Sea spa towns of Neuharlingersiel and Bensersiel, within sight of the dike and very close to the North Sea and the "Lower Saxon Wadden Sea National Park", since 2009 a "UNESCO World Heritage Site". At the North Sea, you can reach it in a few minutes by bike or, of course, quickly by car.
Hartward is a small village and is located near the North Sea in East Frisia, approximately at the level of the island of Langeoog and almost exactly halfway between the old bear city of Esens and the North Sea spa towns of Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel, all three North Sea spa towns with extensive tourism and recreational offerings.
On the "Wiesenhof Nordsee", you will stay in cozy and comfortable holiday apartments and holiday homes. Here you are in the middle of nature and live on an East Frisian moor farm. The farm is no longer fully managed, but there is a lot of space and there are always some small animals at home.
There are also tractors, and our guests can sometimes ride on the tractor if it fits into the schedule. Then we might just drive across the field road "Hartward-Ost" through the meadows and fields.
The holiday apartments and holiday homes on our "Wiesenhof Nordsee" are each approximately 50 square meters and all offer space for two to four people and each an additional small child.
A vacation in Hartward is ideal for your relaxation: walking along the dike at the North Sea, cycling in the beautiful East Frisian countryside, trips to the wonderful East Frisian islands and much more, or simply "being there".
In the immediate vicinity is the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel:
Neuharlingersiel is located directly in the middle of the East Frisian North Sea coast of the island of Spiekeroog opposite the mainland. The North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel is a 300-year-old fishing village with an active crab fishing fleet.
In the beautiful historic fishing port, East Frisian fishing is still actively practiced by many crab fishing boats. From here you can also reach the car-free island of Spiekeroog for a day trip. For your vacation, there is a rich tourist offer: the beach with a great water play facility "Platschi", the new SPA and wellness facility "Badewerk" with indoor seawater pool and sauna, spa house, spa hall, information center with children's playhouse "Leuchttürmchen", Sielhof as "House of the Guest", green areas, events, lovingly maintained historic harbor and many other offers.
On the other side of Hartward on the coast is - also in the immediate vicinity - the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel:
There is also a harbor here from which you can reach the car-free island of Langeoog for a day trip like Spiekeroog. There are also extensive tourist and recreational offerings in Bensersiel: a beach with the beach portal with covered beach "Bennis Abenteuerland", an adventure playground and the seawater outdoor pool, as well as the maritime sports theme park, the circus tent for children and for many events and many more ideas for your vacation.
Further attractions in Bensersiel are the spa park and the bathing area "Nordseetherme Bensersiel", a modern heated fun and recreational pool. The therapy center (e.g. with all spa facilities) and a modern wellness, sauna and fitness center are also located in the Nordseetherme.
You will also find plenty of shops, e.g. in the dike passage, and restaurants and cafes on your short walk through the village.
Just two kilometers south of Hartward lies the old bear town of Esens, the good living room of the Harlingerland:
The great offer of Neuharlingersiel and Bensersiel is complemented in Esens by the over 475-year-old knight's town with a historically grown town center. Here there are a lot of small and large events, museums and other gastronomy and shopping opportunities.
In general, our area is excellently suited for long walks, bike tours and discovery trips into the unique nature of East Frisia. So you experience your vacation at the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the climate of the North Sea.
A lot is also offered for your health: health-promoting courses, fitness and gymnastics courses in the "Fitness-Center Nordseetherme" in Bensersiel; or take a beauty day and let yourself be pampered.
