As your hostess, I invite you to my hospitable house with your holiday apartment "Eulennest". Your well-being is very important to me! You will immediately feel right at home and like you're on vacation! You will be staying under an original thatched roof in a wonderfully quiet and idyllic location, right in the middle of a nature reserve with a 10,000 square meter plot.

The house – ideal for your family vacation and for couples of any age – with your holiday apartment "Eulennest" is located in a very quiet area with an absolutely clear view of the East Frisian meadows and fields, far from any through traffic, in the small village of Folstenhausen near the North Sea spas of Esens-Bensersiel and Neuharlingersiel on the East Frisian North Sea coast.

The North Sea spa Bensersiel and the beach are just six kilometers away and are located directly on the unique natural spectacle "National Park Lower Saxon Wadden Sea", since 2009 a "UNESCO World Heritage Site". You can easily get there by car in 10 minutes or by bicycle in a leisurely three-quarter hour.

The holiday apartment "Eulennest" is perfect for a beautiful North Sea vacation for two to four people. It is tastefully, comfortably and warmly decorated in East Frisian style and is very comfortably furnished; it is very friendly and spacious and very well equipped technically. On approximately 75 square meters you will find everything you need for a wonderful vacation.

Directly at the house and next to the holiday apartment there is a guest pavilion with a grill and garden furniture, a beach chair, as well as a large play and sunbathing area with a great wide view of the fields around the house and sunrise and sunset – especially at dawn and dusk, wildlife can often be observed! The terrace and garden are ideal for sitting in the sun or reading a good book with a cup of tea – after all, this is East Frisia!

If you would like to try that out, we can turn your vacation into a creative one, as I can give you many creative ideas and guide you a little by showing you, for example, how to paint on canvas and much more. I am always available for your children to help them create something creative! Examples of my own work can be found everywhere in the holiday apartment. If you do not want that, I will of course leave you alone – it goes without saying. And here on our wonderful piece of earth, you can really clear your head!

In our holiday apartment "Eulennest" in Folstenhausen near Esens and Bensersiel, you will find wonderful conditions for a beautiful and very relaxing East Frisia vacation. Wide land, rich meadows and fields as well as a beautiful forest around our village allow you a clear view and free breathing on great walks and bike tours at a safe distance from the tourist hustle and bustle of the North Sea spas and landing places! Let your soul dangle during extensive walks on the beach and dike. And we will also tell you about the quieter spots directly on the dike and the North Sea.

It is not far to the North Sea coast and thus to the dike and to the tourist facilities and health facilities in the two North Sea spas of Esens-Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel or in Dornumersiel. Above all, you can explore the area from here very well by bicycle!
By bicycle, you have, so to speak, in the truest sense of the word, cross-country, the healthiest connection to the North Sea to the coastal baths or to the dike. Our location is excellently suited for walks, bike tours and discovery trips of all kinds into the unique and diverse nature of East Frisia. Experience your vacation at the North Sea actively and relaxed and benefit optimally from the North Sea's Reizklima.

Oh... if you are a hobby angler: Numerous waters in the middle of the beautiful East Frisian nature are available to you for your fishing happiness. Whether eel, carp, pike or zander: there is a plentiful stock in the "deeps". For sea fishing enthusiasts, there are great opportunities directly on the dike or also on a fishing trip, e.g. with one of the fishing boats from Dornumersiel, Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel.

The North Sea spa Esens-Bensersiel in the immediate vicinity has a lot to offer for sports, recreation and play, for example in Bensersiel the North Sea thermal bath "Sonneninsel" with sauna area, wellness offers and many other leisure attractions, the outdoor pool, tennis courts and maritime sports theme park, surfing sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities and of course the very child-friendly beach and much more. Your children or you all should also visit the indoor play park "Klabautermann" in Esens and have a lot of fun there for sure. The "Klabautermann" is a large hall full of ideas for playing and romping.

The North Sea spa Neuharlingersiel is also very close by. Neuharlingersiel is a 300-year-old fishing village with an active crab fishing fleet. In the beautiful historic fishing harbor, East Frisian fishing is still actively lived today by many crab fishing boats.

There is also a rich tourist offer in Neuharlingersiel for your vacation: the beach with a great water play facility "Platschi", the new modern SPA and wellness facility "BadeWerk" with indoor seawater pool and sauna area as well as the spa house, concert hall, information center with children's playhouse "Leuchttürmchen", Sielhof as "House of the Guest", green areas, events, lovingly maintained historic harbor and many more offers.

For example, Dornumersiel with its beach and seawater swimming pool is also worth a visit: Dornumersiel has been a North Sea spa since 1990 and has a very large sandy beach. This landing place is one of the oldest harbors on the East Frisian coast.

Or you can simply enjoy your vacation and the East Frisian-harsh landscape in complete tranquility. Here at our house or at the "Ewigen Meer", a beautiful moor nature reserve nearby for wonderful walks in quiet free nature, or in the nearby magnificent marsh, geest and moor areas.

From Folstenhausen, you can easily reach all the many destinations and sights that East Frisia has to offer. Take a look at the beautiful old chieftain's seats such as Dornum, Greetsiel or Lütetsburg. You should also "wander" into the friendly and cozy towns of East Frisia, it is not far to Aurich or Jever. A special and rich art delicacy is the Nannen Museum of the Foundation of "Stern" founder Henri Nannen in Emden.

Do you have children with you? Do not forget the pet park in Werdum. This special small zoo is very popular with the little visitors. You can also feed or stroke and get to know the diverse world of domestic and farm animals from all continents in a playful way. Werdum is also worth a visit for adults! There is a whole lot of their own brewery and cozy corners for a sunny chat here.

Take day trips and visit numerous old castles and palaces, lighthouses (do not forget Otto's yellow-red in Pilsum near Greetsiel!), Mills, museums, exhibitions and other cultural highlights or take day trips to car-free East Frisian islands. Get to know the diverse fauna of the geologically unique combination of Wadden Sea, marsh, geest and moor in East Frisia.
