Our "Ferienhof Tannen" with three comfortable and fully equipped vacation apartments is an actively operated genuine East Frisian farm with dairy farming. The farm is located in the village of Thunum, in close proximity to the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel on the East Frisian North Sea coast, directly at the unique natural spectacle "Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park," which has been a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site since 2009.
Two to four persons plus an additional toddler will find here on approximately 50, 45, and 35 square meters of space on the huge farm property wonderful conditions for a relaxing vacation at the North Sea.
The vacation apartments have a nice and protected terrace for relaxing, enjoying breakfast outdoors or, for example, for a barbecue evening as well as the adjoining very large garden. The equipment of the vacation apartments is very good, for example, a dishwasher and microwave are available in the fully equipped kitchen. Washing machine and dryer can be used.
Thunum is a small idyllic farming village, whose parts and farms are widely scattered, yet you can reach the coast, only 7 kilometers away, by car in about ten minutes.
Massage and spa treatments are possible in Esens. On our fully operated farm, cows, cattle, bulls, calves, chickens, and cats live - and of course also some people. Our guests are of course allowed to watch the milking and feeding.
Children are allowed to ride on the tractor during certain tasks. Our child-friendly farm includes a terrace, a large playground, and a log cabin - a grill is available on request. A table tennis table and a volleyball net are at your disposal.
From Thunum, you can easily reach all the many destinations and attractions that East Frisia has to offer due to the excellent transportation connections. A bicycle tour along the East Frisia hiking trail is the healthiest connection to the coast and the dike, passing by an interesting plant and animal life.
For children, there is the indoor play park "Klabautermann" in the old town of Esens, and for adults, a rich offer of shopping and relaxation opportunities.
The North Sea spa town of Bensersiel, located nearby, has a lot to offer for sports, relaxation, and fun, for example, Langeoog Harbor, beach, beach portal with covered play beach "Bennis Abenteuerland," swimming pools, tennis courts, surf sections on the dike, fitness offers, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.
